If you’re like me and hate the preponderance of heat and humidity many of us have been suffering from all summer, it could always be worse. Scientists are warning people in the New York City area that they may start seeing flying cockroaches! While all these little buggers possess wings, they don’t usually take to the air except in exeptionally humid conditions like those found in the Deep South, where they’re known as “palmetto bugs”. As I live in Massachusetts where we don’t really see much of these creepy-crawlies, I’m going to stop my whining about the weather. And for those of you who live in NYC, or the South, I extend my deepest sympathies!
