One of my favorite books from last year was Thief of Lies, so I’ve been eager anticipating the sequel. While the actual book isn’t being released until February 7th, 2017, here is the exquisite cover and a brief synopsis to tide Brenda’s fans over. Oh, and if you haven’t read the first book, please check out my review at:

If you love books and libraries, and YA fantasy I encourage you to try this!
Being a Sentinel isn’t all fairytales and secret gardens.
Sure, jumping through books into the world’s most beautiful libraries to protect humans from mystical creatures is awesome. No one knows that better than Gia Kearns, but she could do without the part where are always trying to kill her. Oh, and the fact that Pop and her had to move away from her friends and life as she knew it.
And if that isn’t enough, her boyfriend Arik, is acting strangely. Like, maybe she should be calling him “ex”, since he’s so into another girl. But she doesn’t have time to be mad or even jealous, because someone has to save the world from the upcoming apocalypse, and it looks like that’s going to be Gia.
Maybe. If she survives.
Brenda Drake grew up the youngest of three children, an Air Force brat, and the continual new kid at school. Her fondest memories growing up is of her eccentric, Irish grandmother’s animated tales, which gave her a strong love for storytelling. So it was only fitting that she would choose to write stories with a bend toward the fantastical. When she’s not writing or hanging out with her family, she haunts libraries, bookstores, and coffee shops, or reads someplace quiet and not at all exotic (much to her disappointment).
I do so love these cover reveal posts Kim. They are all very stylish.

Did you see the cover of the previous book. It’s one of the prettiest I’ve seen. If you haven’t I provided a link to that review.💁🏻

I’m planning to read this series after loving The Fated series. And Brenda is such an awesome person to talk to and a great writing mentor. Are you on Entangled’s press list? I got a book from them a few weeks ago called Lost Girls, and it’s so addicting I can’t stop reading it.

I loved the first book so I can’t wait for this sequel. I did subscribe to the newsletter, but I don’t remember Lost Girls. I’ll have to look that up!💁🏻

It’s really good and available on NetGalley. You could either ask the publicist directly or request on NetGalley. I think the publicist is either Melissa or Kaitlyn.

Oh good grief! I just looked and I already have it. Can you tell I have a NetGalley addiction?!😕

Lol You must’ve clicked yes to it when we got the Entangled request email. 🙂 I requested Lost Girls at the same time as Brenda’s books.

Brenda Drake again, my film-noir heroine! (and she is pretty enough to be one too) That cover tells it all. Nice to see it ‘does exactly what it says on the tin’! (That’s a British thing you may not know, so here’s a link.)
Best wishes, Pete.

I LOVE this cover! She seriously has the prettiest covers. BUT I’m totally going to pretend that’s Bastien on the cover. Definitely not Arik, yuck lol. #TeamBastienForeverAndEver 😀😂😉
