Unbelievably, yet another icon has passed away. George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley of Wham got me through some tough times after my dad died, so this is an especially hard blow as I’m sure it is to many people. He is a music talent who will be sorely missed.
I have never thought about my sexuality being right or wrong. To me it has always been a case of finding the right person.
I still believe that music is one of the greatest gifts that God gave to man.
Tonight the music seems so loud, I wish that we could lose this crowd.
Maybe it’s better this way, we’d hurt each other with the things we’d want to say.
We could have been so good together
We could have lived this dance forever.
But no one’s gonna dance with me.

I know! I just got the news via email today…so many icons dying that it’s unbelievable! I was never a big Wham! person but I remember as a kid my sister singing “Faith” all the time. I still love that song.

I’m absolutely stunned. At a time when my world had come crashing around me, Wham mad me want to dance again. And when George Michael went out on his own, I never stopped following his career. I agree. This is just unbelievable.😰

2016 strikes again 😦 I always enjoyed his work (except for “Last Christmas”). I remember doing “Careless Whisper” as part of a concert in high school (I took Chorus as an elective).

I thought Carrie Fisher was too young and was glad she was holding strong in the hospital but George Michael is another that is definitely too young to go. 🙂

I keep saying I’m going to quit reading/watching the news. It doesn’t help that here in Indy the local news is pretty much the same daily, someone shot somewhere in the city.

This really has been a horrible year. More terrorism, more extremism on all sides, more far-right politicians getting into office, ahem Trump *cough, cough*. And then all these icons that so many of us looked up to. I said to my husband yesterday half jokingly that it’s like the apocalypse is upon us, but I don’t know if I’m really kidding.😕

Oh, I actually also joked about the apocalypse coming soon couple months ago because of all these things that are happening almost on a daily basis! I wouldn’t be surprised if worse things are only yet to come. As much as I’d like to have faith in humanity, I feel like a lot of the bad has been hiding and growing and only waiting to surface… #hopeforthebest #2017
