It’s hard to believe that 20 years ago today, Buffy and the “Scooby Gang” made their first appearance. While on the surface it was a horror show about vampires, monsters, and the one girl who could slay them, underneath it tackled social issues like: bullying, catfishing, and toxic relationships. Yet even when handling serious themes, Joss Whedon and his brilliant cast brought humor and love to this show which is why even now, two decades later, the it still has legions of fans. There are so many quotes to choose from, from the funny to the tragic, but the following has always been one of my favorites:

Buffy was one of my favorite shows to watch when I was younger and till this day I rewatch it pretty much every year. I can’t believe I was 8 years old when it came out.

Wow, can’t believe the time has passed. I was late to Buffy, but very much a fan from the age of 10. She is an amazing and inspiring character and a kick ass warrior to boot.
