As many of you know here in Northeast of the U.S. we’re about to be hit with a monster Nor’easter named Stella. *Sigh.* You know it’s gonna be bad when the storm already had been named by eager meteorologists this weekend, as they also excitedly discuss the possibility of Stella being a Weather Bomb like Lucifer that pummeled California last month and Doris that hit the U.K. in February as well.
So, while I’m not trying to make light of this dangerous blizzard heading our way, I hunted down some cute and funny pics to cheer us all up! I hope you enjoy these and please stay safe tomorrow!

We live about 1/2 hour north of Boston, and right now we just have a dusting on the ground. The wind is really starting to pick up though and our local news just said the North Shore should expect to start seeing the heavier snow move in within the next hour or so. My husband and I picked up all the essentials yesterday so we’re here at home for the duration. I’m really a REALLY hoping we don’t lose power.😕

This storm can either go two ways. It will be just as the weather people say, or it won’t be nearly as bad as they say. This is New England we’re talking about, and when it comes to snow storms here, they always go one of two ways.

I did my time in the deep freeze known as Michigan. Then I ran away – laughing maniacally – to the ‘dry heat’ of Arizona. (Dry heat is code for incinerate.)

I’m in Colorado and we’ve had a pretty mild winter, at least along the front range. The mountains have had their share I think. I will send good wishes your way while we enjoy sunshine and temps in the 60s this week! 🙂

I’ll keep my fingers crossed you don’t get hit too terribly hard. We’re pretty lucky so far, only predicting maybe an inch or two but so far yet today it’s all melting as it comes down. Still a bit of a shock to the system after the last 3 weeks or so of temps 50-60 most days and hoping Spring was starting.

This was a bit of a shock wasn’t it Carrie? I’m personally blaming that stupid groundhog! We were all laughing at him the beginning of February when he predicted 6 more weeks of winter and we kept having all that balmy weather. I’m picturing him right now laughing his his furry little butt off!😡

Actually I was just trying to not get used to the warmth somehow knowing it probably wouldn’t last as much as I wanted it to. Not that I expected a huge snowfall anywhere this late but we’ve had snow and cold temps in April and May in the past so it was always possible. Hopefully this will be brief and we’ll warm back up though.

Love the pictures! I can imagine you would be getting over the crazy weather. When I was in America in December/January it snowed the whole time and I realised how hard it can be to get out and do stuff! When I went snow-mobiling I had to wear 6 layers of pants and I was still cold!! Back in Australia it has just been stupidly hot and we are all waiting for winter now!! I hope the storm doesn’t hit too hard. Please take care!

Thanks Steff. Believe it or not, this winter actually hasn’t been that bad here in New England. We’ve had some snow, but only a couple of storms were big ones, and even they weren’t anything like what’s supposed to hit us. And we had cold days, but there were several where we hit the 50s and 60s. A couple of years ago we had a horrible winter. Every week we had at least one major snowstorm and the cold was unbelievable. Ugh! So, hopefully Stella will be it for us this year. Fingers crossed!😊❤️

Thanks Danielle! We’ve got food water, batteries, etc. As long as we don’t lose power we’re good, although my husband isn’t looking forward to the shoveling. He doesn’t know it, but I’m making him Belgian waffles in the morning with his favorite hot cocoa!🤗❤️

It was 17 C and sunny here yesterday. Even our 24 hours of storm Doris was nothing, compared to your weather. At least you are able to see the funny side!

I love the memes. This posts reminds me that we live in totally different parts of the world lol. I have never seen snow though it looks good in movies. I am not sure how bad blizzards are but stay safe and warm.
Meanwhile, its really hot here. The hottest that it has been in years. We are really hoping for some rain.

It does. However, the coldest it gets is around 3-5 degrees especially in the month of July.
Where I work, its usually cold almost all year round but lows of 8-10 degrees. Right now its hitting highs of 30-40 degrees so its a mess.
How hot is summer usually?

Ugh!😕 From June to at least the beginning of September it’s usually anywhere from the low 80s to the high 90s. I don’t particularly care for that either! I’m so fussy! After living in New England my entire life, I’d love to settle some place where it’s in the 60s to 70s year round. I don’t care if it’s boring. I’d love boring weather!😏

We didn’t get hit nearly as bad as expected…at least not the Philadelphia area. I heard reports that it was supposed to start Tuesday night and go into Wednesday morning, but it’s currently stopped now. I think we maybe got only 5-6 inches as opposed to the 11-18 they were predicting. It turned into freezing rain/sleet this morning, which helped cut down on the amount. I was thinking I’d have to work from home both today and tomorrow, but I think I’ll be able to go into the office tomorrow. I’m kind of glad though…I was worried it would be bad enough to cancel that appointment, but the store shelves were definitely empty. People think they’re going to be snowed in for weeks :p

Ah shame hahaha. I am actually anticipating autumn starting to cool down eventually and finally for winter to set in. It gets outrageously hot here. I suppose our winters aren’t actually really cold, either, and we know nothing of snow hehehe. Can’t wait for my blankies and being wrapped up for books and movies. I love it!
