I can’t believe two film legends have died on the same day! The stars are definitely not shining as brightly over Hollywood tonight.
One interesting piece of trivia: At age 19, George Romero briefly worked as a page-boy on the set of North By Northwest, which Martin Landau starred in.
Everything that has happened to me is of value to me. As painful as certain things are, and have been, and were, there’s a use for those things in my life and in my work.
It is better to live as your own man, than as a fool in someone else’s dream.

I just woke up and put on the news when I heard this. Really sad to hear of two Legends such as these dying. Martin was a terrific actor. He was great in the old Mission Impossible series, but he has also made so many terrific movies. Really a sad day indeed 😥

Yeah, it’s always sad when Legends like these pass away 😦 There have been too many great ones that have died in the past few years.

Despite his many excellent film roles, I will always think of him as Rollin Hand, from the TV series of ‘Mission Impossible’. Another sad loss.
Best wishes, Pete.

It’s a sad day, losing two greats. I enjoyed Landau as an actor, he could steal the show in just a few minutes.

He was a brilliant actor Vinnie. And George Romero. He started the whole zombie craze. He was the King.

Unbelievable. But they live on in their films so they’ll never be forgotten.

Landau had a great career capped with two terrific performances: “Crimes & Misdemeanors” and of course “Ed Wood”, where he played Bela Lugosi…I met him once and he was kind and classy, a great person

If you’ve never seen him in Hitchcock’s North By Northwest, or Ed Wood, you should definitely check them out Lashaan.

Gosh.. I’ve been meaning to try movies by Hitchcock ever since I’ve heard of him a couple years ago. I’m definitely going to put those movies on my priority list. Thanks for the recommendation, Kim.

Anytime Lashaan. I’d also recommend The Birds, Rear Window, and To Catch A Thief.😊
