Same here John. I haven’t heard of Brautigan, so thank you for the link, to your review. Oh!And I still have to read your post on North Korea. I was out most of the day, so I didn’t have time yesterday, but I haven’t forgotten.π

With all that is going on in the world, I found that book to be an insightful look at just how repressed that country is

You don’t need yet another ‘Day’ to be a book lover, Kim. Every day is book-love day for you. π
Best wishes, Pete.

So true Pete. But when there’s a whole “Day” nationally dedicated to Book Lovers, well, you’ve just got to celebrate! Plus, I always did a big display for this at the library.π

Here’s a toast to all the book lovers in this smaller world because of books.

I see an amazing idea like this, and th quotes of that other Brad instantly come to mind, esp. this one:
βIf you want to write, if you want to create, you must be the most sublime fool that God ever turned out and sent rambling.
“You must write every single day of your life. You must read dreadful dumb books and glorious books, and let them wrestle in beautiful fights inside your head – vulgar one moment, brilliant the next.
“You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads.
“I wish you a wrestling match with your Creative Muse that will last a lifetime.
“I wish craziness and foolishness and madness upon you and out of it make fine stories β science fiction or otherwise.
“Which finally means, may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.β
β Ray Bradbury
While u enjoy this Day, I’m left wondering if and when we can have a Book Lovers Day on this side of th Pond!
Happy reading, Kim!
