No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, then they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

President Obama tweeted this Mandela quote when he heard the news from Charlottesville. Such wonderful words. Thank you, Kim! Hugs!

I found that out after I had already posted! But those really can’t be shared often enough.

You are absolutely right, my friend! There are a few whose quotes never lose their meaning, never go out of style, and are always relevant. Mandela is one, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Gandhi … all wise people worth listening to!

Dear Jill,
President Trump is lacking in eloquence, decency and morality. I have always believed that people who don’t love reading are somehow deficient.
Thank heavens for leaders like Nelson Mandela and our own President Barack Obama by whom President Trump will always fall short in comparison.
