Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.

I was thinking the same thing Jay. It’s one of those days if you lived through it, it’s indelibly burned into your mind.😟

Thanks for sharing as I mentioned to Christy too, that was such an unbelievable day. I lived in NY at the time, upper east side and you could smell the fire burning for weeks. Awful day for so many that weren’t as fortunate as I. If you ever saw those buildings, they were magnificent. The memorial is great to see – so sad and senseless. Thank you for remembering those lives senselessly lost that day – and as you pointed out, the sense of unity that followed is something we need to keep alive ! Thank you By Hook!

I live near Boston and it was horrible watching the events of that day unfold. I can’t imagine living in NYC and having your home literally under attack. It’s a day that I don’t think will ever be forgotten!

That day is permanently etched in my mind. I still feel the sensation of my heart being ripped out, of a tremendous anger, the deepest sadness, the horrific realization of this evil unleashed. It was the beginning of a new era, certainly for the US, but for the whole world. Thanks for posting.
