Because this day just couldn’t possibly SUCK any more (sorry for that slip of anger), rock icon, Tom Petty has died. His music was a big part of childhood and teen years, and followed me into adulthood. All I can say is he will be truly missed.
Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There’s not some trick involved with it. It’s pure and it’s real. It moves and it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

Wow, this is the last post I read before turning off the lights. Truly shocked about this, what a terrible day this has been. A truly wonderful artist that has left our world. Let’s hope for a better tomorrow. Keep the faith, sending you some positive vibes.

Noooooo. I didn’t realize until I saw your post that Tom Petty had passed away. Too young!! “Freefalling” was literally my soundtrack for high points in my life. When great things happen to me, I spontaneously break out into that song. Thank you, Tom Petty, for that and so many other great songs.

I feel like someone punched me in the chest. Tom has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid.. with the Heartbreakers, solo, and–especially–with the Traveling Wilburys. He was an amazing artist who will be sorely missed.

Just unreal!! Not a diehard fan but liked some of his work. Last year we couldn’t wait for it to be over…I’d say this year is worse!

It sure would be nice. From what I’ve heard (after I made my own post) was that he’s off life support, but I think still not expected to survive. And there is a NDR order for him. Fingers crossed, though.

I honestly don’t know. There’s so much speculation presented as truth, it’s hard to tell what’s really going on or what happened.

I don’t know who was more at fault, the LAPD, or CBS News, but this was unforgivable. It wasn’t fair to the family nor was it fair to the rest of the country who was still trying to come to terms with the massacre in Las Vegas. I’m still extremely pissed off at this!😠

Wow!!! Are you serious?! One of my favorite musicians. This is so upsetting after all the tragedies. How awful. Rest in Peace Tom Petty! Hugs Kim! Did you recieve a package today if not you should get it tomorrow. I’m sorry things have been so hard! *hugs*

Tom Petty was a musical wizard, from I Won’t Back Down to Free Falling. He’s the Eminem of rock & roll. He will be truly missed.
