Everybody started calling my music rock and roll, but it wasn’t anything but the same rhythm and blues I’d been playing down in New Orleans.

Oh no. Did this happen today? I hadn’t heard. Really bums me out. I used to live in NOLA, and I actually got to meet him a time or two. He was absolutely fantastic. 😔

Now the great Fats? They are falling like Dominoes…
(Sorry, bad taste I know, but I really couldn’t resist it. 🙂
I loved his music, and he is yet another sad loss to entertainment.
Best wishes, Pete.

This is so sad 😢 So many great musicians and other artists have been passing away constantly lately! But to be honest Pete’s comment cheered me up and made me laugh big time!😊

Ooooh it’s all my childhood! My dad was a fan of Fats Domino, ray Charles, Glen Miller etc. Every evening we would listen to them. It’s so sad today..

That’s a pretty long life, not even considering everythng he crammed it with. I like to think about the different things someone like him would have lived through – imagine how different the world he left was to the world he came into. Remarkable. And he left it a little better.

“The REAL King Of Rock ‘n Roll” – Elvis Presley.
Come back from watching th new Thor movie and this is th 1st Post I see! Aow!
Aeons ago, an all-day Art Exam – we all dreaded it, so w brought in music tapes to help alleviate th stress. One kid had a tape marked “Fats Domino” – everyone looked at each other w WTF expressions. We were all 16-yr old kids; we didn’t know – speed metal, perhaps…?
Before we knew it, Fats’ Greatest Hits filled th room, and raised our spirits. That day resulted in a record no. of high grades. Unforgettable. One of the best – and most creative – days of my life.
“All th girls, they love me, ’cause I know my way around” – Fats Domino
Thanks, Kim
