Eh… His piece is kind of petty. Yeah, I agree that we Americans really suck. I agree that people suck in general. I am also saddened by the destruction of the earth. But really, the Japanese have their own demons. And the Brits aren’t much better than us Americans. He just comes across, rather than humorous, as a self-righteous, holier-than-thou British man, a reason lots of people don’t like the Brits.

I agree, but I still don’t like self righteousness, which he reeks of. Case in point. I love the Japanese. I think they are a wonderful culture, but let me tell you, being autistic, I would have hated to grow up in that society as they don’t have a lot of understanding towards mental disabilities. Also, it was only recently that gave up whaling due to peer pressure from the global community. That’s not to say I think they are a terrible culture. On the contrary. They are a wonderful culture. I have visited Japan once, and I will visit them again as I was charmed by the people.
Also, has he seen how other Europeans talk about his British culture? I have, and it’s not pretty at all. I’ve seen other Europeans talk as condescendingly towards the British as he does to us.
Again, I’m not denying that Americans don’t suck. We certainly have a lot of growing to do. And Trump is an embarrassment. But I stand by my point that I don’t like mean-spirited and self righteous posts like that.
