Hi Everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday season! I know right before Christmas I said I was going to be taking a few days off. Well, except for a couple of book reviews it’s turned in a longer vacation than I originally planned. I’m going to be taking off a few more days, but I promise I’ll be back in fighting form next week. I’ve been trying to keep up with everyone’s blogs, but if I missed anyone’s posts, please forgive me.
In the meantime I wanted to wish all of you the Happiest of New Years. I know for many of us 2017 was a tough year, whether it was things going on in our personal lives, or natural disasters such as the devastating hurricanes, flooding, and wildfires that hit more than one country, terrorism attacks, or political and societal upheaval such as the one here in the U.S. as millions of Americans felt trapped and helpless in the first hellish year of the Trump presidency. But I for one will never give up hope regardless what obstacles I’m dealing with. So in that spirit I’m looking forward to 2018 and a brand new page.
And with that I’m leaving you with my last quote for 2017 which happens to come from one of my favorite poets of Victorian England.
Hope smiles from the threshold of the year to come, whispering,
‘It will be happier’.
~Alfred Lord Tennyson ~
To all of you I raise my glass. Be safe, be happy, and have fun this weekend!
