I used to get some ego thing out of saying I wasn’t a star, just an actress. Forget it. I’m a star. I wanted it. I worked for it. I got it.

I remember watching her in Rhoda, and she always seemed to be a nice lady in ‘real life’ too.
Best wishes, Pete.

She will definitely be missed. Though I did not watch any of her early shows, I vividly remember when she was in an episode of Sex and the City as the mother of one of the guys Carrie Bradshaw is dating and she was absolutely fantastic.

If you can ever catch reruns of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda, it’s worth your time.
