This is a perfect summation from Jeff on the decency displayed by Ambassador Marie Yovanovich during today’s hearing. Decency that Mr. Trump again proved he sorely lacks as he continued to viciously attack via Twitter, this dedicated long term diplomat as she was testifying.

The way she maintained her dignity and composure while being personally attacked by Trump as she testifying in front of an audience of millions was amazing John. Good luck to further attempts by Trump and his supporters to paint these witnesses as partisan “never Trumpers.”

I watched every minute of her time with the House and was purely heartened by how well she represented herself and her chosen career in such an honorable way. It’s telling that even the most rabid Republicans there had to acknowledge her dignity and, well, greatness. She, along with Mr. Taylor and Mr. Kent, give me some hope that the future is brighter than the present.
If I were still a Girl Scout troop leader, Marie Yovanovitch is the woman I would hold up to the girls as a person they should want to emulate. In fact, I want to grow up to be her!

So was Trump’s real time Tweeting witness intimidation, or simply him exercising his freedom of speech?……… I’m unsure which but proceedings made for interesting viewing.
