I had the pleasure of working with some fabulous librarians at my school. Isn’t it awesome that there is an entire week to celebrate libraries?

I miss my visits to the library so much while they are all shut down here.
That was where I always found such joy browsing through books and deciding which books to check out.
Love this post, Kim. 🙂

Lovely post Kim. There isn’t a library near where I live, but I love seeing the libraries of castles I visit.

Lovely quotes and images, Kim. You must be nostalgic for your former career at times, I’m guessing.
Best wishes, Pete.

I hadn’t, but I’m not surprised. Censorship and book banning are alive and well in the U.S.

The library was, and is still, a magical place for me. A place where I am content in the cool quiet of learning, where I am at its helm.

Such great quotes. I loved my time working in the library and remember when I was a teen going and spending hours there in the summer reading.

How lovely to read and see these wonderful odes to libraries! I really miss my two libraries I haunt…I do have a creative project on the go: I choose a donated book a tenant isn’t reading from our laundry room book shelves, wrap it up and put a sticky on it with the words Reading In The Time Of Corona (A Blind Date Book) with a hint/blurb about the contents, I’ve even wrapped up a blank journal (Journaling In The Time Of Corona). I put my weekly offering in a crook of a hollow tree where squirrels play and hide their nuts, I was inspired by my local library and Indigo Books who did this pre-pandemic. I hope it brings some cheer to those who are missing their libraries!

Fabulous Kim. I remember when I was young, I used to sit in my mosque’s library for hours. Whenever I used to enter the library, the librarian used to give me a smile. Sometimes just for me, he would keep open until 12 am at night. I used to read read and read more. He used to suggest a book I would end up loving. Thanks for refreshing such good memories.
Stay Safe😊✌❤
