There is something seriously wrong in this country. No, it isn’t only Donald Trump, though he is a sign, a manifestation of the disease that is destroying this nation. No, the disease isn’t the coronavirus, though perhaps it has brought the other, deeper disease into the public arena. The disease is … what? It has many names, but they all point to one thing just as the saying goes that “all roads lead to Rome”. And that one thing is blind hatred.

You are so very right, Kim.
And, when he got elected the hatred became more intense and just look at where we are now.
I have a good friend that is Black and she is very fearful, she lives in Colorado Springs, CO and she has seen people become more hateful there!
It’s just horrible! 😦

I can’t even imagine being judged and treated by what color my skin is. I’m so sorry for what your friend is going through.

I know, Kim, it’s truly horrific to be judged based upon the color of one’s skin. I I have known my friend since 1993 when we met at Peterson Air Base, in Colorado Springs, and we are friends for life. My friend has told me many disturbing stories of the racism she has suffered in her life. Our kids were wee ones when they met and they both are good friends today as well.
My heart breaks for my friend, she is one of the sweetest persons I have ever known!

I have seen this post on several sites. This is good. In many cases it maybe preaching to the choir, but if we hit on this terrible flaw in our country maybe we can convince some people to mend their hatred and not pass it down to their children.
