Sometimes I think my papa is an accordion. When he looks at me and smiles and breathes, I hear the notes.

You have a different Mother’s Day to us, but the same Father’s Day. I last saw my dad when I was 24 years old, and he is long dead. One day I don’t need to celebrate.
Best wishes, Pete.

That’s odd Pete. I remember you talking about your dad. I’m sorry. I have the same parental issues only in reverse. Terrible mother, but my father and I were two peas in a pod.

Thanks Beth. It’s a wonderful book and that quote sums up the way I felt about my late dad.

Thanks Margie. I’m sorry about your dad. I lost mine when I was 16 and still miss him dreadfully.

OMG, Kim, I am so sorry that you lost your dad at such a young age. 😦 I lost my dad a few months before my wedding ~ my wedding was one of the happiest and also saddest days of my life as my dad was not there to “walk me down the aisle”

I was a horrible time, especially as we were best friends as well as father daughter. But losing yours right before your wedding is just horrible.😔

Gosh, your dad must have been quite young when he passed away but how lovely that you were the best of friends! 🙂
It was very sad to lose my sad just before I got married but my mom filled in and “walked me down the aisle”
Well, she did not really “walk me down the aisle’ but she ‘gave me away”
We got married in Framingham , Mass on a very cold and blustery day in the month of April ~ I so wished with all my heart that my dad could have been there ~

He was only 52. Framingham? I lived only about 45 minutes from there!

Kim, I just wrote this little poem for you ~
(just a little poem to let you know I care and happy to be friends.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
May joy and peace surround you
Contentment latch your door
May happiness be with you now
And bless you evermore ~
May you be blessed always with the gift of good cheer
So that you will have a happy heart
Every day ~ all year!
May you never find trouble
All crowding and shoving
But always good fortune
All smiling and loving ~
~ Margie ❤
Okay. You’ve made me cry! This is beautiful and I will cherish it always. I’ve been having a dust up all morning with some dude who took exception to my Obama quote from yesterday, and after that craziness, my spirits were in need of a lift. Thank you so much Margie. You’re such a gifted poet and you’re a wonderful friend!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Awwww, I am so happy to hear that my little poem could lift your spirits Kim as that was my intention ~ I saw the comments that guy left yesterday on your Obama quote and I went back today to see if he was still commenting and I was kind of shocked as he was so mean and nasty to you and being a jerk!
So, I wrote the poem just to maybe make you feel better and I am so glad it did. 🙂
It makes my heart happy that you think my little poem is something you will cherish ~
I loved writing it “just for you” and you are so very welcome, Kim ~ ❤
Yeah. I’m not sure what got his knickers in a twist. I think maybe he’s just a troll. But you…You are an Angel!😇🤗
Yes, I think he is probably a troll and a very mean one!
Awww, you made me feel so happy as my sister Terri always called me an angel ~ you are so sweet, Kim ~ thank you! xxx
