It doesn’t matter what political “side” you’re on, just like burning and looting businesses, this behavior is unacceptable and should be condemned by everyone.
I am now feeling angry, frustrated, and frightened, all at once. My wife and I went out for what was supposed to be a short afternoon trip. The day was going to busy, with just a short afternoon diversion.
There was a Trump rally at the intersection near our place, and that is not an issue. Everyone has the right to protest in the U.S.A, but some were carrying automatic rifles (perhaps semi-automatic, but that really doesn’t change anything) and standing right at the edge of the road and screaming at cars. This should not be allowed–when I saw this, I immediately thought–they would have been at home in Nazi Germany. They are bullies, and they are not supporting democracy. How dare they try to intimidate people that way.

As Fraggle says, this really wasn’t such a big surprise. This is a crazy year, and people unfortunately act crazy themselves as well. I just hope things are going to calm down soon. It must be the nuttiest election that I have ever witnessed, that’s for sure😔

It’s infuriating and at the same time scary that many of these people are clueless about what they think they are defending and what they think they are defending themselves from. The comparison to Nazi Germany is on point here as hard as it may be to fathom.

This the type of thing that really scares me. It is terrible that ordinary citizens going about their everyday tasks are bullied, and scared to death. Prayers from Canada will continue.

Now that Trump and his cronies have not only stacked the Supreme Court, but they’ve packed state and district courts all over the country with conservatives. I don’t see any common sense gun laws being passed anytime soon.

Hearing about armed protesters is terrifying. I was on a high of good feelings all weekend, but the reality is hitting hard this week — the next two months are going to be scary and infuriating.
