First I had heard of his death. He left behind a wonderful legacy of intelligent writing.
Best wishes, Pete.

I didn’t read everything he wrote, but I loved The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

Kim, that is a very pertinent and profound quote from Le Carre. Of all of his work, I found “The Constant Gardener” the most touching. The movie of the novel was quite good, in my view. He had a terrific body of work. Keith

Man, this has been a crap year for losing writers. In addition to the overall general crappiness of 2020, in general. Thanks for sharing the news. I hadn’t heard.

Great writer. His spy novels could not be read like, say Ian Fleming,s. They were much too deep.
Love the timely quote/
