Merry Christmas Eve everyone. I’ve been trying to keep things light for the last few weeks, but there’s no denying that 2020 has been a year of horror. Here in the U.S. there are over 325,000 people who have died from Covid, and globally, 1,725,959. The numbers are staggering as is the thought of the families and friends who face Christmas tomorrow without their loved ones. So, I’d like to pause for a moment and think of those souls who have left us.
As you know I’ve shared many parody videos since March trying to inject a sense of humor whether it be the pandemic or politics. One of the people I’ve become a fan of on YouTube is Shirley Serban of New Zealand. School principal by day, musician in her spare time, her sly parodies never fail to bring a smile to my face. Her new video, “Christmas 2020 Song of Remembrance” honors those who have passed and the ones they have left behind.
Such a beautiful rendition. Thank you!

I was thinking about my friend Brian today. He died from Covid-19 in May, before the birth of his grandson. One more child who will never meet his grandfather.
Best wishes, Pete.

It is a sobering thought for sure Kim. We need to remember all those who lost their lives and those who loved them. This is a beautiful song. Thanks for sharing.

What a year Carla. I’m thankful we didn’t lose anyone we knew, but my heart breaks for those who did.

My brother-in-law’s aunt died from covid. She was in her 90s and had alzheimers. The saddest part was that she died alone. Other than that, my family and friends have not been directly affected.
