Let’s be honest and say that 2021 is already off to a rocky start. Not even a month in and I’m already counting down to January 1, 2022. But it’s not all doom and gloom. Thanks to TikTok (who ingeniously spawned Ratatouille the Musical), and a young Scottish postman named Nathan Evans, Sea Shanties have become all the rage. See, there’s positive stuff going on!
I think sea shanties are best left to sailors. But they have certainly enjoyed a new populairty. 🙂
Best woshes, Pete.

I hadn’t realized the popularity explosion until I saw Stephen Colbert talking about them on his show.

Kim, until the Queen of Hearts is dethroned on January 20, we have been still walking on eggshells and with fear. I am reading Jon Meacham’s excellent book “Soul of America,” and it was Eisenhower who noted that the president must not be too omnipresent or he will fatigue his audience. He also noted you cannot lead by fear, you must lead by galvanizing other disparate groups to follow a mission. These words were said over 60 years ago. We should note Ike led the European command during WWII, so he knows a thing about leadership. Keith
