I’m going to attempt not to ramble too much with this post, but I overindulged with champagne last night, so forgive me if I do. I’m also still basking in the afterglow of yesterday’s inauguration of President Biden and Vice President Harris. Don’t worry. I haven’t glued my rose colored glasses permanently to the bridge of my nose. Obviously, the U.S. still has a long and difficult path to traverse. We’re still battling a pandemic, rampant poverty, unemployment, inequality, the rise of white supremacy and other hate groups, government corruption, and the vast number of people who have no health insurance, to name just a few issues. But, for the first time in four years I feel like maybe, just maybe, the country I love so much, has a chance. From today through Sunday, I’m going to share some of my favorite moments from last night’s Inaugural Concert: “Celebrating America” and Monday, it’ll be back to usual with book reviews, etc.
