. I received this e-Arc from NetGalley and Disney-Hyperion in exchange for an honest review. The Return will be out on March 31.
Now that they’ve finally managed to defeat the Overtakers, Finn, Willa, Charlene, Maybeck, and Philby should be able to relax. But no. It seems as though their old mentor Wayne has still another puzzle for them to solve. Could it be that somehow the Overtakers are behind this new threat, or is this an entirely new evil?
Being a Disney fanatic, I immensely enjoyed the first three books in the Kingdom Keepers series. I mean what’s not to like? A great storyline based around five teens and their holograms, going up against the greatest Disney villains of all time. Then I fell behind and I haven’t yet caught up with the rest of the series. That said, I was still able to follow The Return fairly well. It has all of the action of the original series, and a great plot centered around tv technology, and time travel. The character development felt a bit strange to me, but I think that was because I need to read the other four books in the original series. Where I left off they were all freshman in high school, and now they’ve graduated and are living separate lives. I would recommend this if you love all things Disney like I do. First though, you should definitely read the previous seven books.
