“A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.” She was one of a kind. I was allowed very little TV as a kid, but her shows were approved!

Very sad news. I first saw her in Ordinary People and her performance was so believable as the mother who couldn’t deal with her son’s death. May she rest in peace.

To this day, I can’t hear Pachelbel’s Canon in D Major without getting a bit misty-eyed.

I saw this yesterday on John Reiber’s blog. It didn’t make the news here until late last night.
Another sad loss for the entertainment industry.
Best wishes, Pete.

Mary stole the film in Robert Redford’s ‘Ordinary People’ playing a woman on the edge of anervous breakdown, I’ve never seen a performance like it. 🙂
