Once upon a time back in 1984, a film adaptation was made of the 1979 children’s book, The Neverending Story, by Michael Ende. The film and the theme song went on to attain cult status. Here’s the original music video performed by Limahl.
Now check out this sweet rendition by Dustin and Suzie in the season 3 finale of Stranger Things.

The special effects are a bit dated Pete, but the child actors are superb, the story compelling, and the message is timeless.

Wow this is crazy!! My 13 year old daughter was singing The Never Ending Story last night and I was like “how do you even know this song?” Hahaha she’s been binge watching Stranger Things so maybe she picked it up from that? 💜 She was amazed that I knew the skng! I guess they think I lived in a cave growing up! Haha great pick Kim!💗😂🙋💙

The movie is definitely an 80s classic Fraggle. And, I have a feeling you would LOVE Stranger Things.

It was a wonderful film, though I never read the book, but of course now my memory of it is going to be forever colored by memories of Dustin singing the theme song in the latest series of Stranger Things. Lol!

Yo should definitely check out the book if you can. And how sweet is that duet with Dustin and Suzie? One of the many reasons why I think this season was the best yet.

It was a sweet and adorable moment in what was otherwise the darkest season yet.

I absolutely love the sweet moment between Dustin & Suzie when they were facing multiple apocalyptic situations. I’ve had that scene and song stuck in my head! I was sad there were only 8 episodes though and how things ended were heartbreaking.😰 But excited about what’s to come next!🎉😍🙏 Great post, Book Diva!💝🌺
