Every life matters, to say otherwise is ludicrous. Has anyone thought to report this as an innocent man was killed by a corrupt cop? By constantly bringing race into the picture only aggravates the situation. There are plenty of black-on-white crimes, but they are not reported as such. Ever wonder why?

Of course every life matters GP, but people of color are predominantly targeted on a daily basis and to say otherwise is to be in a state of denial.

And all the looting and arson solves what? While I was at the store today a Black woman said to me, “We can’t have good things, we just can’t. Somebody will find any reason to destroy it.”

I never said the looting and arson was right. The anger is understandable, but I’m a believer in peaceful protests. This post is for peaceful ways to educate ourselves and help GP. Try clicking on some of the links.

Darn right. If it’s true and certain people are trying to use that as some sort of excuse for his murder, they are the ones who should be embarrassed. Jesus! How despicable! Mr. Floyd spoke against gang violence and was beloved by not only his family, but his community. He and Chauvin also worked as security for the same nightclub. Chauvin knelt on his neck for 9 minutes! That includes almost 3 minutes when he didn’t move even after another officer told him he couldn’t find a pulse!

My point being, why does the media sensationalize it? Why not report an innocent man was killed by a corrupt cop? What do these riots, arson and looting solve except for matters worse?

Because, what has peaceful protesting done, exactly? All they were told was that they should be locked up. This has been going before we even born and it NEEDS to stop. How many more human beings need to be killed by those supposed to protect them, for it to be suitable to you? One, should have been enough. Not YEARS later, not in 2020. That’s the thing, he wasn’t locked up, they locked up reporters before they locked up the cop who killed George Floyd.

This country was built on laws of procedure. Yes, an innocent man was killed by a corrupt cop, but how does that give any one the right to burn down buildings, steal merchandise and put other people in danger?

Business can be rebuilt, human being lives can’t. What happened in your life that makes you think a building is worth more than a person? You know who can’t walk into anymore buildings? George Floyd. He can’t walk into the building of his home, where he works, his mothers homes, his friends home. He can’t even walk into a Walmart anymore. He can’t walk into his own home anymore and hug his kids. He will NEVER be able to walk into his children’s home. I will repeat myself. How many human lives need to be taken for you to find it acceptable?

The FACT that you even brought a possible porn past as well, says a LOT about you as well. And what you “care” about. I’m willing to bet you’re one of those “people” as well that goes around saying that ahmaud arbery stole something three years prior. So yeah, he deserves to be hunted and murdered YEARS later.

Respectfully, I’m not sure you pointing out a rumor was your point GP. It was victim shaming pure and simple. I don’t think anyone here is supportive of the destruction and violence. In addition to the high profile cases like Breonna Taylor (shot while sleeping), Ahmaud Arbery (shot while jogging), and George Floyd, there are daily occurrences that aren’t widely reported. Try to put yourself in a person of color’s shoes for even a minute. Imagine what it’s like going out knowing you will be judged based on the color of your skin. Think what it must be like to be a parent and in addition to giving your sixteen year old son driving lessons, you have to school him on how to act if he’s pulled over by a police officer. What to say. Where to place your hands on the wheel. (This was related to me by a black friend). Minorities go through these indignities and others day after day, after day, after day. Is it any wonder why there is so much anger?

The 911 call said he was drunk and belligerent.
The autopsy reports say he was NOT strangled. So how about telling those mobs to cool it. Those businesses were trying to open up despite the pandemic and now – they don’t even have a building. George’s brother keeps telling people to stop, but they’re getting worse. They’re just using it as an excuse.

This still has nothing to do with your original comment regarding the rumored porn GP. Also, the owner of the store had nothing but good things to say about Mr. Floyd who was a regular customer. And it doesn’t matter if he was drunk. Not one of the videos or CCTV tapes shows him resisting arrest. There is a new video that shows Chauvin reaching into the police vehicle where Mr. Floyd was initially placed and it seems like there was some sort of struggle. That still does not explain Chauvin kneeling on Mr. Floyd’s neck for 9 minutes while he begged for his life. 9 minutes GP! That included 2 minutes and 53 seconds of Mr. Floyd ceasing to breath. As far as the initial coroner’s report, it says that Mr. Floyd’s death was likely caused by underlying health conditions, possible intoxicants, and the way in which he was restrained by police, contributed to his death. By the way, that preliminary report is being called into question by numerous medical experts.

My mention of him being a porn actor was uncalled for, just another factor in the story just as it was 7 minutes too long on his neck.
It is still no reason for ANTIFA to be involved or people destroying our cities. To me, they are now the criminals. Innocent people are now being hurt and killed by them

BTW GP. If you’re interested in learning more about not only the Black historical experience, but the racism that’s continues to be so prevalent today, there’s a ton of resources out there, but here are a few off the top of my head:
