It seems that way.
I haven’t slept much this week. Each night I’ve tossed and turned watching the clock as my mind raced. Often pain and discomfort that keep me awake but the last few nights this was not the case. No, the events of the past week rushed at my thoughts like a swarm of bees evicted from their hive.
This is a writing blog. But, is there anything more important to write about than what is happening around us?
In times of crisis as well as celebration, it is the arts that express our humanity. 
Painters put images on canvas, singers raise their voices in song, photographers capture the moment, and writers write. We write in newspapers, books and now the internet. We write to preserve, share, and inform.
Today I’m sharing. A memory that has stayed with me more so than any other from my young childhood.

That was a wonderful read. It’s one of the first posts I read this morning, and I thought it was beautiful. As for the question raised: no I don’t think the whole world has gone crazy. Not yet anyway. Luckily there are still quite a few good people around that make the world a brighter place 😊

A nice reblog, Kim, and a post that reminds me of my own youth, to some degree. My Mum used to tell me a story about when she was a little girl (it was around 1930) and she rubbed her hand on the skin of a black man in London ‘to see if the colour came off”. When she realised it was just skin, the same as hers, that established her way of thinking for the rest of her life.

I still have faith in our future because those of us who have been horrified for months are growing in number, even some in the senate. My constant prayer is that Donald and his cohorts won’t be able to damage us (and the rest of the world) too much before he comes to an inevitable ignominious end. The more we speak out, the sooner sanity will begin to creep back in and, Kim, you’re a voice of reason and hope in the wilderness 😉

I’m hoping to that good will prevail over evil. Trump and his minions represent the very worst of America, but I still believe there are more of us than them.

Kim you and me also, for the first time in my life I’ve had enough of reading awful News stories, Barcelona hit me for six, are these atrocities the future or will goodness prevail? On the brighter side public opinion over here (could be wrong) seems to point to Trump won’t last, has his veering from standing up for the KKK……. to………calling them ‘evil’ white supremacists……….to standing by the KKK again, finally done for Trump? One about turn to far? I think so 🙂

What happened in Barcelona is so horrific. And then Finland yesterday.😟 There’s so much hatred in the world right now.
As far Mr. Trump goes, I’m afraid we’re probably going to be stuck with him for the foreseeable future, unless Robert Mueller finds something illegal hat is directly tied to him. While there are more Republicans in Congress speaking out against him, the majority are cowards and will continue to not say anything. Trump still enjoys huge support from his base, and the majority of Republican voters give him high marks. The only thing I think would change this is if the economy went south. If people are hit in the pocketbook they’ll probably move away from him.

😮 I hadn’t heard there’d been an attack in Finland! I understand all this hatred upsets my sister-in-law as well, she has both 8 and 10 year old sons and how do you begin to explain what’s been happening to your children? Awful.
I fear I may have ‘jumped the gun’ with my Trump observation, I guess that’s the problem with listening to ‘experts’ who don’t live in America but as Harold Wilson (British PM) once said “a week in politics is a very long time” so you never know. Hugs Kim and I really do mean that 🙂

In respect to Trump, believe me, there are plenty of people here that think if he’s impeached everything will go back to “normal”. Sadly, I think now that the genre’s been let out of the bottle, it’s going to be extremely difficult to stuff him back in.😒

This was a wonderful read, one that will be enlightening for many people, I’m sure. We’re all created equal and have just as much right to life, love and happiness as the next person. It’s when individuals believe their rights surpass those of others and attempt to enforce that twisted belief that world goes batshit crazy…which seems to be the case right now.

Preach💯 Some of this shit is just sad and ridiculous. People just need a good ass whoopin or need to chill put and smoke the ganja man… Part of me is okay with the craziness this world has to offer because the craziness makes me feel bot so bad about my craziness but on the other hand I want to hide away my little dudes and dudette from how hateful and awful people are. I mean really, what is so difficult about World peace and loving one another. All these hateful people just make me want to throat punch them. Oh no, there goes my rantings again! Point is people need to get their brains away from hate and get an intimate relationship with a book. Ooohhhh the feel and the smell.
