We’ll be going to see it for sure. Just can’t believe it’s the final one. Such a bummer.

Yeah. I know there will be other movies/series in the Star Wars universe, but it’s not going to be the same.

I’m too far away from the originals now to ever get a handle on Star Wars but glad you’re looking forward to seeing this 😊

Well, you could just watch the original trilogy, skip middle one which IMHO wasn’t all that great, and then just watch The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. That’s ONLY 5 movies! C’mon Fraggle. That gives you 4 months to catch up. Easy-peasy!😉😏😈

Cool. Yeah, 3POs eyes are kind of odd. I’m still pondering the title and the Emperor’s laugh at the end of the previous trailer, though.

Hey Kim, had a big painwave yesterday in my stomache, so I’m a bit late to this one, but of course it looks awesome! 😊 So many questions though. What is up with C3PO’s eyes is one of them…but even more importantly what is up with Rey at the end? 🤔 And what is the Emperor’s role in all this…..🤔🤔🤔 Well…whatever the answers will be, I can’t wait honestly! 😊😊

I was wondering if you weren’t well Michel. Are you feeling better? And LOL! I purposely stayed away from Rey ‘cause her seemingly embracing her inner Darth Maul was sending everyone into a panic. I personally think it’s a red herring, but we’ll have to wait and see.🤷🏻♀️

Sorry for the late response Kim. I have had a really, really bad week😔 I’m slowly crawling back again, and I hope to be back next week. More on that either tomorrow, or monday. Thanks for you concern😊
Yeah…I think it’s a red herring too. For one thing I don’t see Disney doing something that bold, for another, it’s a bit too obvious a spoiler…But we’ll see in December! 😊

Oh no! I’m so sorry Michel. I hope you can rest this weekend.

Thanks Kim. I managed to get a lot of rest this weekend. Watched an entire season of NCIS in one weekend😅😅 I’m feeling slightly better, so will do my best to get back again this week😊

Aaaah excited! I wasn’t sure if I would be because I really didn’t like TLJ, but I am! I guess it is no surprise that Emperor Palpatine is behind everything, it makes it consistent with the other films 😁

I had a few issues with it, but overall I liked it. It will be nice seeing how this part of the Star Wars saga comes too an end.

Yeah I am interested to see where they go with it all! Rey won’t fall to the dark side, I’m sure. I reckon her going full Darth Maul is someform of dream sequence or vision

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

The last one I watched was Return of The Jedi. Once they changed Yoda into CGI, I lost interest. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Well, you didn’t miss much with the second trllogy. I liked both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi for the most part, but for me, they haven’t quite captured the magic of the original three.

The Rise of Skywalker and It pt 2 are my most anticipated movies right now.

Random thoughts:
1. isn’t it interesting how Kylo Rens “ridged” metal mask reminds one so much of the ancient Mandolorian mask? or perhaps an earlier similar mask worn by REVAN of the Old Republic?
Snoke said he had “seen the rise of the Republic”. Wouldn’t that make him older than Emporer Palpatine? Yet, if he is older, then why didnt Palpatine ever mention him to Anakin? Why didnt Obi-Wan or Yoda ever mention Snoke? but wait, there’s another idea….
Snoke, looked very banged-up, horribly thin and as if he had been badly burned. Maybe he was. And maybe it happened when Darth Vader threw Palpatine “down the chute” and there was an explosion! Is there some really convincing reason why Snoke couldn’t really be Palpatine? It could explain his appearance.
WHO??—is Maz Kanata? She seems to be flying under the radar.
When SHMI had Anakin and “there was no father”…..who’s to say she couldn’t have had another child without a father after Anakin left her…and that child could have been REY? Note the strong resemblance between Shmi and Rey, and also this may explain Rey’s force-ability, without training.
Palpatine will be in this movie. IF, he has the ability to leave a physical body and going into and inhabit another one, this could be very bad, for the movie. It would be like not being able to kill Michael Myers in the Halloween movies. Creepy, but after awhile it then becomes pointless, which then becomes boring. As I said, bad for the movie.
Un-necessary “filler” characters. Finn, for one. Yes, he got people ticked at him for helping good guys escape in a ship, but other than that, I am still asking: why is he here? But not just him. Does anyone really care 2 cents about anything Capt. Phasma has to say? Better to have fewer characters with more relevant roles. and one more thing…..
with all the focus on Kylo, or Rey…….who’s to say that “The Rise of Skywalker” is perhaps not about them at all? What if we’ve all been “faked out” and the Rise of Skywalker is a NEW skywalker? Like who? Like, maybe the small boy at then end of The Last Jedi who was using the force to sweep with a broom? Who knows?

I am a complete SW nerd, so much I even have all of them on flash drives so I can watch them on my tablet. It’s so painful without Leia. I’m not happy with TLJ. Leia and Han deserved a better son and Adam Driver? Ugh! Hated him on Girls, now I’m stuck with his ugly muff. Bah.

Nothing’s ever quite lived up to the original three movies for me, but I have enjoyed the first two films in this last trilogy overall.

When the first movie came out, I was just 4 years old but good thing was George Lucas re-released all 3 movies in cinema with better sound and updated CGI. Since then, I never missed any releases from this franchise. Can’t wait for the final one…

This is a bitter sweet end for me. Okay, more bitter than sweet! I’ve been seeing new Skywalker films since 1977 and now it’s hard to believe it’s almost over.
