I have been wanting to share the beautiful animated short, Float, with all of you since it debuted on Disney Plus in November 2019. Unfortunately, until now, you had to be a subscriber to the streaming service to watch it in its entirety. Due to the increase of attacks on Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders by ignorant, hateful people, the studio has decided to make the first animated short featuring Filipino-Americans widely available. After the film I encourage you to also watch how it came about. It’s quite inspiring.

Well, that just reduced me to a puddle, Kim. What a beautiful, heartrending, and joyous little film. And the behind-the-scene making of it was an eye-opener. Thank you for a spectacular Whimsical Wednesday.

That was unusual indeed, and beautifully made to get the message across in just the right way. The documentary about making it was very good too.
Best wishes, Pete.

As you know, I prefer ‘old-school’ cartoons to Pixar. But the sense of realism was important in this film.

It definitely one of my favorites Carla. With your grandson, you must have really loved the touching backstory to the making of this.

Okay, so now I have watched the making of and am a bit overwhelmed. I just immediately connected this to my grandson, not knowing that his son was on the spectrum. How special.
