I have to wait until the end of the month when I receive my disability check so it wasn’t me.

I loved her witty sarcasm. So sad Carrie Fisher has left us.

The nerf herder quote has always been one of my favorites.Actually, the exchanges between Han and Leia were probably my favorite part of Empire Strikes Back.

The chemistry between them leapt off the screen. You know, until yesterday, I had no idea she was only 19 when she was cast as Princess Leia. Unbelievable!😊

I’ve actually only started to dive into the Star Wars universe (completed the original trilogy last week) and I can already feel her death as a huge loss for fans. Once I get around to her latest appearance in the newer movies, I’m probably going to feel a bit too sad/nostalgic.

I was 12 when my dad took me to see the first Star Wars movie, and I instantly idolized Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia. I had a bit of a rough childhood, and Leia was everything I aspired to be.

Her death didn’t affect me in the same way as it did many others.
(I felt overwhelmed by Bowie dying, for example.) It has to be a generational thing, I suppose as I was a lot older than many of the fans when Star Wars came out.
Nice tribute though, Kim.
Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks Pete. My dad took me to see Star Wars when I was 12 and it was an instant case of hero worship for me. Princess Leia was everything I wanted to to be.

I only watched Rogue One the other day. And some of the footage from the original trilogy was included at the end. Such a shock. 😦

My daughter and I both worshipped Princess Leia. I was 10 when the first movie came out, and wanted to be her so badly. I knew my daughter was going to be tough when she had some friends over when they were little and decided to play princess. One girl said “I’ll be Jasmine!” and another “I’ll be Belle!” and my little tomboy said “I’ll be Leia!” The other girls told her she couldn’t, Leia wasn’t a real princess, and she told them “Yes she is, and I’ll kick both your asses with my light sabre!” (I was both proud and a bit appalled by her language – oops… Perhaps another trait she inherited from me…)
