It really spoke of the heroic nature and sacrifice all the people who served embodied.

Over here, the WW1 commemorations have been vast, and with justification. The BBC has made some simply superb documentaries, and night after night my heart breaks to see them. I have been remembering for over 60 years, and it never gets any easier to bear.
Best wishes, Pete.

Just about every town and city here hold parades and ceremonies to honor the men and women who have fought for our country. And PBS and others like the History Channel show documentaries all day.

Thanks Fraggle. I always get emotional at these types of ceremonies. They’re a reminder of such loss, sacrifice, and heroism.
