If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.

Happy Winter Solstice to everyone here in the Northern Hemisphere. As undoubtedly most of you have heard, the shortest day this cursed year is also when the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will occur. The “Christmas Star” will be able to be seen by almost everyone on the planet for the first time since March 6, 1226. So, if you can, about 45 minutes after sunset tonight, take a pause and go outside and look to the heavens, for another meeting of the planets won’t happen until March 15, 2080.
